Finish cracks

Im looking at buying an old Roadstar, and I was looking at it, and noticed some finish cracks around the neck pocket and then another one by the locking nut. Unfortunately I cant give you guys any pictures because I dont have access to it right now. They are really thin, and are kinda a white in color. Do you think they are serious or just a finish crack. If so, is there any way to repair them?

cracks around the neck joint area are usually normal on RG type guitars. there's a link about em somewhere on jemsite. it's because the neck pocket area is an area of high stress and it's got something to do with the finish not drying properly or something. it's harmless unless the actual wood is cracked.

as for the nut, from what i understand, nut tension cracks are not uncommon, and i think they might be cause by overtightening thingss but i'm no expert on em. i think they might be fine unless they get bigger, then you might have to crack it wider and glue it back together or something insane like that.
