Fitting Ibanez parts on a Jackson body
If I wanted to put a JS neck on a Jackson body would I need to make any modifications to the neck pocket?
Also what about fitting an
Edge trem
on a Jackson body already routed for a Jackson
Floyd Rose trem
?

I wouldn't mess with that. They weren't designed to be compatible and I'm guessing that you'd have all sorts of fit and action issues.
* *As far as the edge trem, it's physically bigger than a standard
Floyd Rose
so you may end up with a routing job to get the full range of the unit in that body. Unless it's all you have, I'd forget the whole thing.

JS looks like a standard strat 4 bolt. *If the Jackson is also, it might work fine. *In fact, I'm looing into fitting a Radius with a Carvin neck myself.

Most
neck pockets
and neck heels follow a standard measurment. There are some minor variations that your going to run across but for the most part your biggest worry is the actual distance ratio from the top of the
fret board
to the bridge.
Measure the distance once you place the neck in to see if you will end up with a 25.5" scale or otherwise.
Neck shim's will also be needed in most case's as well as some manufactures don't route the same depth as others because of their own neck heel design specifications.
Chances are the Lo-pro will not fit into a Jackson trem pocket but it can be modified to fit.

How reliable are the Jackson Floyd Rose trems? If things work out I'll stick with a Jackson neck. Thanks Brian. By the way the Edge trem and RG I still owe you are on there way out. Sorry it's been so long. I was in training all of October and the first week of November

The one on the Stealth EX pro I had (Japanese model) was pretty good. *Built more like a TRS than an Edge, but better pivot points (arder steel or better heat treatment, I suspect) so it stayed in tune. *Screw-in arm.

Thx Jester appreciate it! I have my eyes on a yamaha now so I'm not sure if I'm going to mess around with the Jackson. Plus the Yamaha has more of a JS feel, but with an all
maple neck
, and
upper fret access
is better than a JS so thats a plus for me!

The Yamaha Floyd on my Pacifica 921 is COOL. *A couple features you don't usually find, like the option to run strings through the bottom instead of clipping the ends.
And the plate & pivot points seem nice & hard.

I think this one is a Japanese exclusive and from my best guest an 80's model. It's a MK-II Tak Matsumato model(apologize for spelling his last name wrong. Check the Ultra Zone song credits. He played on "Asian Sky"). Really cool guitar. Blueburst type finish and all maple neck!!
