Fret Doctor
I wasn't sure where to put this thread. But anyway. Without wanting to sound like an advertisement, I'd like to mention this stuff called Fret Doctor. Mine arrived in the post today and I used it to oil my Ibanez which was paint stripped a few years ago and left raw, plus I used it on my fretboard. This stuff is GREAT! Anyone else use this?
You can read about it and order it from here:

That's all.

yeah, in the link he talks about most commercial bore oils not being up to par tho and to check the ingredients list.. his seems to be more of a concoction of good stuff like vegetable oils, tho i'm not certain
glad it worked out for you Swift, i'm definitely going to order some
by the way it's available in many places tho not always as 'fret doctor' but as 'bore doctor' and in various mls, even musicians friend has it

Re: Fret Doctor
I got some awhile ago after thinking about it forever, put it onot a couple necks and it's great, great stuff. Beats the hell out of the lemon oil I tried last time. Let it soak into a really dry fretboard for a bit and rub it in nicely and Bam! just like old.

Re: Fret Doctor
The weird thing is, this stuff seemed to brighten up my strings too. I don't know how, they were dead after being on my guitar for over a year! Weird.

Okay ive never had strings on a guitar over a few months, but to each his own. Their are many different types of bore oil on the market and yes their are good and bad ones too.

Good.
Are you dead yet?
I keep 'em clean, they sound OK, plus I didn't have an income at all for a year, I mean not a single penny. Those are the reasons why I didn't change them.
