Gibson Fretboard Conditioner

I gotta say, I picked some up today and it rules.

I used it on my RG550 so Maple fingerboard and it returned the moist "spongy" almost feel to it. Makes it very easy to play and has a very nice feel on your finger tips, this stuff rules.

Just want to put it out there, since its only like 3 bucks. GET IT!

Does anybody else use it? What are your thoughts on it? Is there other things like it that come in bigger bottles or just work better? Thanks.

I don't think your supposed to use those conitioners on maple fretboards. Anyway, I like Gerlitz Guitar Honey the best.

Fret Doctor is my oil of choice, it's a high quality bore oil. You can buy it in a big and small bottle.

Re: Gibson Fretboard Conditioner

I know, you surprised me there!

It is a great product, though. Actually, Edmund doesn't make a lot of money out of Fret Doctor, he needs the support, and it is a product well worth supporting, IMO. It's definately the best fretboard oiil I've found so far, and I've tried lots.

Ozz, as far as I know, Fret Doctor is only available through PayPal directly from Ed. You could always shoot him an email and ask, though: ewboyle @ rcn.com

Re: Gibson Fretboard Conditioner

You are definitely not supposed to use fretboard conditioner on maple.
