Giving my rg a natural finish.

Im fairly new to customizing guitars as I"ve only changed an Edge to a OFR and switched a neck before, but I really want to give my Ibanez RG5EX1 a natural finish because I love natural finishes and basswood looks great.

Is it possible to sand down my guitar WITHOUT removing the pickups and pots? I have very little soldering experience and I'm not comfortable taking everything out and putting it all back in.

Do you think it's a job easy enough for a 16 year old? If it's too hard ( and i have a little sanding experience) how much would it cost at a luthier or a guitar repair shop?

Thanks

Virtually impossible to sand without gutting the complete guitar, where are you located? i know quite a few people on here who'd be willing to help out

Oh and btw, if you search here, soldering and replacing parts have been covered a million times, were here to help

Re: Giving my rg a natural finish.

I live in Romeoville,Illinois which is near Joliet and Chicago.
I guess I can improve my soldering skills instead of playing people to switch my pick ups, I'll just be spending alot more time on here.

Thanks.
