Gone the way of the dinosaur - Just an observation....

Anyone here doing projects having problems finding 800 grit wet/dry in their local supply house?

Seems even on web sites 600 and 1500 grits are still common but 800 is a dissapearing breed of paper...

I can honestly say I haven't seen it in ages. *However, I usually shop at the big chain stores that go through stock quite regularly. *I know 800 isn't that common to begin with, but you may want to try the little hole-in-the-wall hardware stores that usually get like 3 customers a week and they are all old men chatting the day away. *You know the type I'm sure. *I had a similar problem finding metric helicoil punches not long ago, sure enough, the smallest shop around had plenty. *Might be worth it. *:-/

Don't have that problem over here.

I get it all from the local auto store where grades from 400 - 2000 inclusive are always readily available.

Jay, there's a store *exactly* like that about three blocks from my house. If there is still a modern day Mayberry anywhere in the world it's got to be my town. *
