"Great idea for a Universe(UV777BK)"

Well all I was sitting in here last night around 4:30 in the morning and grew a wild hair out of my butt, namely what if I was able to convert my UV777BK into something of an Jem10th Rip-off? Well to make a long story short I decided to play around in Photoshop to see if it was even a feasible idea.Well an hour and a half later I have in front of me something that is stunning to say the least. I think that with the proper time and materials this guitar could really be something special an really worth the effort. So my fellow Jemsiters, I'm putting and open call out to everyone that can help me. I need to know where I can go to get...

1. High grade sheet of aluminum
2. And chrome pick-up covers

Any help in this undertaking will be GREATLY APPRECIATED and I hope to hear some ideas from you all.

PS Can you guys tell me how to post pictures?
Will

I like the idea.

Aluminum for a pickguard - check just about any machine shop for a scrap piece. It won't take very much for a pickguard and headstock.

Chrome covers - I picked some chrome "TOPPERS" up from Brain at Universal. I put them on my DBK. The DBK neck is being transformed at LGM right now. I will try to get some pics a little later for you

raijin - Sorry! I also like the vine, but Deno already did it, and THAT'S why I went with the pyramids Talk to Jeremy about other options. He has so many ideas.

I think the UV777BK is an ugly guitar, but I think your idea looks really good! The etched guard and chrome pickups would definitely improve the looks.

and the pyramid inlays look better on it than the vine I think. IMO the Jem10 is just a little to busy of a guitar, and the UV777BK doesn't flow togehter nicely, the chrome guard never did suit it IMO. I htink you've got a relaly good idea!

Wow,you have to be the first person to tell me that UV777BK is ugly, but to tell you the truth that's half the reason why I want to do this. Thanks for the kind words. Just want to add one thing I'm planning on doing the same with the headstock. It should turn out really nice.

Thanks!!! Can't wait to get the neck back from LGM...it's going to be so cool!! Upon receiving the neck, I will post my review of Jeremy's work. Shouldn't be too difficult
