guitar intonation
so im building a guitar and im wondering what determines the distance of the neck form the bridge is there a chart someone knows of i just think that if its just random that the intonation would be off

The very first decision to make would be what scale length guitar you want, and the scale length is the distance from the nut to the saddles.

If we're talking about riding horses, I like to keep my scale length less than 2" from nut to saddles.

If you already have the neck, then you HAVE to build the body to match that scale length.
