Help identifying tremolo "shim" part

I was changing my strings and 2 "shim" pieces for lack of a better description fell off. Here are some pics to further explain what I'm talking about.

Pic of trem.

Where do these "shims" go??

Thanks for your time.

Re: Help identifying tremolo "shim" part

I'm not sure if there are more than one shim on the edge portion of the trem but they look similar in apperance to the parts which fell off (2 in total).

Re: Help identifying tremolo "shim" part

They're the pieces from underneath the saddle that keep the lock block from falling through. I have no idea how they were originally attached but a dab of epoxy will stick them back on. [take the saddle off]

Nice one. I love the backstop installed? Wonderous little device isn't it.

Yea, anywhere between $125-200. I have tried quite a few trem devices and the backstop kills them all.

I wouldn't say that. Although it works very well the arming adjuster from ESP does just as good and takes up less space and doesn't cost nearly as much. There was also another one I saw, looked like an arming adjuster, but really cheap looking.

Thing about the ESP device is where you gotta put it. The Backstop fits perfectly between the springs. I don't like where the ESP device has to sit making you rearrange your stprings or havin to have two to be balanced.

But the ESP is exactly half the size of the backstop. The arming adjuster will fit the same way the backstop does, but it takes up even less room.

It all depends on how you setup your springs, but the arming adjuster is, if anything, less of an obstacle than the backstop.
