Help Me Fix My Busted Floyd!!
Hey all! I just recently picked up a USA BC Rich ST-III, and couldn't have been happier with it. Sustains like crazy, sounds great, and plays like sex.
When all of a sudden, the Floyd's loading tube (High E) just snapped clean off.
The threads broke off inside the saddle.
Any quick repairs you guys can think of? I'll be buying an OFR to put on it soon enough, but until then, I wanna play it some more, dammit!
The guy who sold it to me removed it's OFR and replaced with an LFR for some reason (probably to keep it for himself). But for a guitar this great, for the price I paid, It's not that big of a deal.

they sell things at hardware stores to remove stripped screws, you can prolly use it for this, then buy a new screw

That's actually not a bad idea.
Do you know where I could locate another loading tube?
Thanks a lot!
EDIT:
I don't use the bar a lot, but still wanna be able to use it a little bit.
So, would one of Guitar Fetish's Floyd's work okay? I know It'll fit, but are they any good?

if you buy a cheapy from guitarfetish make sure you block it for dive only because those things are made from pot metal

Re: Help Me Fix My Busted Floyd!!
On GF's website, it says they're made from hardened steel, and not pot metal. But, I suppose for 60 dollars, you're probably right. I probably won't even be diving with it. So do you think it would be okay if I didn't dive or anything?
And when I say loading tubes, I mean the tubes attached to the saddles that you push the strings through on a single locking Floyd.

Can you show us a picture? On a strat, the "tube" you're referring to is built into the plate iself, so you put the strings through it. I'm assuming that on a single locking floyd, the design is similar.

Re: Help Me Fix My Busted Floyd!!
You talking about one of these sorts of trems?
Instead of a bolt that tightens or loosens the saddle block in a double locking
Floyd Rose
style trem the single locking have a similar looking contraption, except it's a tube like device that you slide the string through, up through the top of the saddle.
Although I'm a little concerned that a USA made BC Rich came with a single locking licensed FR. Did some one replace the original one? Try and get a double locking trem if you can, so much better than the single locking items.
