HELP ME KEEP THE ROCK ALIVE (ground problem)

I've got this old no name guitar, its a hollowbody and sounds badass but wont stop humming. I opened it up and all the connections seem to be intact and strong. I'm pretty sure its a ground problem because the hum stops when I touch either the pickup or the input. Its just one single coil pickup. If anyone can help me i will send yo the pictures I've taken of the insides, just e-mail me at GmastaMike@aol.com......

If it gets quiet when you touch the pickup or jack, it sounds like the string ground wire is missing or broken. Most electric guitars have a wire that grounds(like on the back of the volume pot or jack) and goes to the bridge. Get your favorite luthier to add a string ground wire and you should be back in business.
