help!! rg570 edge tuning probs - not stay in tune!!??


My problem is :
When I use my tremolo and push it down
and release , tune goes low and when i pull it up, tune goes high. Help Me!!
I have read tehc-section but I don't know what to do...

There's several things that could cause thie problem. set screws, trem posts, knife edges etc. Have a search through the other threads in this section and you'll find lots of details.

I have the exact same problem.
i think that the pivot studs are worn. I have ordered new, and hopefully it will solve the problem, but im not sure.

How new are the springs? *I am not a tech guy, but my UV was doing the same thing until I really started working the trem hard. *Apparently, the brand new springs needed some work before they "settled in." *Now it stays in tune beautifully.

So if you have new springs, before you go buying new parts, really abuse the trem, do some crazy stuff with it for a good while, have some fun....then tune back up to pitch and see how it does. *If that doesn't work, I would start with the knife edges and work down from there. *They could be slightly worn as could the posts.
