HELP-trem return

My apologies if this has been covered. I've searched through Rich's site, and a lot of old posts.

I'm disappointed because I've installed an Arming Adjuster, and I'm still having problems with trem return. Right after I installed it, the return was great. I checked with my tuner, and it was really close after a lot of dives and pull-ups. But now my guitar is behaving poorly again. I have an Edge pro with the locking stud mod. However, the knives weren't "sharpened" with the mod. I'm wondering if that's what I need to do. It comes up sharp on the high strings after I dive, but flat on the low strings, and vice-versa when I pull up. Does anyone know if there's something I'm overlooking...

Thanks

Check to see if the nut is loose, probably on the treble side.

Re: HELP-trem return

This could also be my imagination, but it always seems that return suffers a little on really old strings. Did you install the Arming Adjuster with a fresh pair, and you just haven't changed them yet?

Re: HELP-trem return

Hey, thanks for the replies. The nut is not loose, and I have changed the strings (about two weeks ago). I will try the chapstick, though...but am open to other advice still...

Thanks!
