Herc Fede's New Site - Lookin' good...
For anyone who hasn't seen the new Herc site, try to get your MC luvin' arses over there.
www.FedeCustomShop.com
The site is completely revamped and is looking pretty damn sweet. Herc's using a lot of new sales approaches, testimonial's plus a bunch of other things that you never saw on his site before.
Unfortunatly the Swirl Gallery isn't fully up yet, just the opening/index page. Check it out though, it'll get you anxious enough to check the site daily.
His turn-around time quickened up too! 3 week turn-arounds!

Herc Fede's New Site
Not flaming or anything, but just a few points.
The first page (i.e. find the link to get in) was a bit annoying.
I was just about to go before I found it (maybe I'm just really bad at finding things)
, I can imagine some people may just think "sod this"
I don't see a point in having the page like that.
Secondly, I think the colours are a wee bit harsh on the eyes (could be my monitor though)
Lastly, I know the site is still under construction, but a little more content and a little less self-praising would be a welcome addition.
Turn-around times are great though and the prices are looking tempting.
To reiterate, not a flame, just an observation.
Steve

Herc Fede's New Site
For anyone who can't find it just use "select all" from the edit menu on your browser or simply click the BINGO in the lower right hand corner...
that was VERY annyoing by the way.

Herc Fede's New Site
Bad, bad, bad.
The site needs some serious help... it violates numerous core design, navigation and usability principles.
not providing a "skip intro" option for a Flash intro is unforgivable
hiding the link to get visitors INTO your site is just plain DUMB
the navigation buttons are HUGE and dominate over the content of the site... it's the CONTENT people are coming to see, not "glowing Twinkie" buttons
As a design professional, it frustrates me to see someone with a great product or service promoting themself through such an amateurish site. Herc's old site was simple and straightforward with a minimum of fuss... the new one, while a noble effort, is less effective.

Herc Fede's New Site
i must agree .....
.I hate flash intros (i always skip them)
.Why hide the way in ? surely this should be the easiest thing to find
.The colours are vary garish
.The menu's (why two ?) is to big
.And there are not many examples of the work ! (surerly the only reason you are there)
I dont mean to sound overtly critical but like a lot of websites it is short on content.
I think a simpler layout, more pics and the lack of hiding the way in and it could be a nice sites
Some of those swirls were nice but i would have liked to see some close ups and stuff .......

Herc Fede's New Site
I thought that the bingo thing in the beginning was trully irritating, but yeah I did the select all thing as well...instead of wasting my time poking all over the place. The layout is quite hard to use IMHO...I don't like reading stuff compressed in such a small space.
I think the page split into 3 parts makes it really hard to read...2 parts would be much better; a small menu at the side...content taking the bigger portion of the page.
I think that Herc does excellent work, but to me, there was a little too much self praise on the page...I couldn't stand reading through the "Innovations" part. But the swirls are really nice.
Hope more pics come up soon, thanks for the link guys!
Chris.

Herc Fede's New Site
Yeah, that hidden link was really annoying. Hope more pics show up soon. The prices are reasonable and the turn-around time is excellent. I've often thought about swirling my DY, but I change my mind as often as the wind changes direction. Now that I've been to the new site, I'm considering the swirl once again. Hmmm, what should I do? *--rvj

Herc Fede's New Site
I like the new site. Although I didn't really care much for the trick entry, either. But as far as colors and that go, pretty kewl.

Herc Fede's New Site
Yeah, the hidden intro link did suck; I could've just clicked for the email fix, but I really wanted to check out the site so I patiently searched for & found the link.
His work looks awesome!! *The site looks like it has potential, but needs some work IMHO...

Oh Idunno… I kinda’ liked searching for the hidden link. It felt good when I found it.
I am personally just waiting for the galleries to go up.

You were being sarcastic when you put "Looking good..." as this thread's subtitle, I hope. :lame: Whoever designed that is blind...

Herc Fede's New Site
right...uh. *Seems like a bad business idea to hide the entrance to your site. *Herc also sounds like Bob Dole the way he switches from 1st to 3rd person when mentioning himself. *"
Herc Fede
's the man for the job. *Herc Fede is a good man. *Herc Fede...." blah blah...Bob Dole...
Admittedly, I make my living off of html and adobe photoshop, but come on! *He stole those graphics right off of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers .com. *
