High bends fretting out

I own an Ibanez Jem, its good and all, but I realised that my high bends on the scalloped frets fret out sometimes. If I do a fast bend it never frets out though.

Is this a guitar problem or is it my technique?

It might be that you're not pressing down hard enough?

Try 'digging' into it a bit more.
