Just put on a set of 10-46's on my
JS 1200 (trem blocked), switching from the usual 9-42 set...Was adjusting the intonation on the high E, and while tuning it up to pitch, heard a high pitched squeak-ish type of sound and then the string snapped...I don't get it...that's never happened to me when doing the intonation. I made sure the ball ends were super snug at the posts and that each wind was under the other. Should I have stretched the
strings beforehand, or would that have just snapped the string as well? I'm kind of stumped here...Any help will be rewarded with a smoked ham.
