HOK (or other) Paint Code for Roadflare Red?

Anybody know which paint is a decent equivalent for RR? The HOK neons are usually pretty on for LNG and SK, but I don't have access to a RR body to verify. Anybody out there ever do a match? Is the HOK Shimrin neon red (NE504) close?

I took a look in my HOK color chip book and I have to say that to me, they look very similar. I'l post a pic in a bit.

Certainly qualifies as a decent equivalent, I think. Did you know that HOK neons, however, are not recommended for "where long life (of paint) is a requirement" and have "limited colorfastness in the sun"?

Yeah - goes for most neons, unless you can recommend a more colorfast option? My guitars don't see a lot of sun or UV lamps anyway, so it's never been a problem for me! Seriously, if you like another brand for "durability", let me know.

Yeah, the neon JEMs also fade in time, now that I think of it. I don't know of any brand that has more durable finishes. I guess the limited durability thing just goes for every neon paint.

I have to say that this HOK neon really rocks. After I took those photographs the sun came out even more and when I placed the color chip in the light, it looked a bit more red; very beautiful. Just like the RR on the RG, the HOK paint is a beautiful orangy red... And it's a bright neon that really pops out. It's great.

That neon paint sample posted looks very close to my RG550 in RfR.
