How do I fix a small chip in my 2027 - It was bound to happe

I am very particular about the condition of my instruments and this hurts, but I smacked my 2027 on the back of a chair during a church gig of all things. *I didn't notice anything wrong until last night as I was wiping her down after playing and right on the back edge just below the arm contour is a very small chip in the clearcoat down to the wood. *It looks like it just popped right out of there. *It is about the size of match head, maybe even smaller. *But quite noticeable due to the darkness of the finish and the contrast of the bare wood being exposed.

At any rate, what is the best way to seal that back up and make it less obvious. *I less concerned with hiding the flaw than I am with protecting the wood and preventing any further damage.

Thanks everyone...

Actually pretty easy to fix. Find yourself the closest matching stain, remember you can mix stain colors to get even closer. Lay enough stain on the area to get the right concentration, then let it dry, really dry (at least 24 hours). Get some CA (crazy glue) and start building up the spot with layer after layer, letting each one dry. Build it up till it's filled higher than the surrounding clear, then wet sand it flush, polish, enjoy
