How do I lower the action on my S520ex?


I had my guitar for a year and barely played it that much and am wondering how do i lower the tension/action on the S?

There are two allen screws. One on each side of the bridge. Turn clockwise to lower.

Also check your neck relief.

A lot people start by lowering the bridge when actually the truss rod needs to be adjusted.

BTW...string gauge and tuning is going to determine tension.

edit: am getting a little of buzz when am tuning the sixth string....

Adjust the truss and don't expect to get deadly low action w/out buzz. If you have a fairly light touch you MIGHT be able to get sick low but otherwise stay just a tad on the higher side and enjoy the tone.

if you arn't sure do nothing. It is what governs how much bow or how straight the neck is. If you adjust it too much you might never get it to go fully straight, or you might make it warp too. Take it to a tech or go and buy this book...
