How long is the output jack on the Jem?

I'm putting together my Jem project today. I've got the pickguard all wired up and went to put in the output jack, and noticed it was not long enough to go through the hole and thread with the nut. It is a switchcraft flush mount barrel jack, but a tad too short to get the nut on. So I'm curious, how long is the Ibanez output jack? Either it is longer than the switchcraft jack or Legacy One drilled the control cavity wrong.

I should add, the overall length of the jack is 2", but only 1 1/2" from the end of the jack to the end of the threads.

my barrel jack from my RG that i had to replace is exactly 3.4cm from the end to the end of the thread. from my understanding, they are the same ones that fit on the jem. could be wrong though.

3.4cm is like 1.3 inches I think, that doesn't sound quite right.

mmm well that's what came out of my RG2550Z. i'm measuring from the very outside of the jack to the start of the thread on the barrel.

Thanks Jaden, that's what I was afraid of. Now it looks like I'm going to have to take some wood out of the cavity route so that I can get a nut onto the output jack. I need like an additional 1/8" to 1/4" on the threads to make it work. Booooooo. At least it is covered by the back cavity plate right.

indeedido, dont worry just buy a longer jack - the standard mono cheapies from allparts with the big earth clamp on them for a few dollars are a lot longer and will very likely fit straight away.

I bought the longest one I could find at Stewmac.com, seems to be the same one at allparts. the total length is 2", but not the threads. I'd love to find a longer one but I just don't see one. Am I missing it?
