How many springs???

Ok, so I'm gonna experiment with low tuning a 6 string. Anybody have any idea how many springs I'd wanna use to get the float right if I'm stringing with 13-56 and tuning B-B. May experiment a bit with drop A like this as well.

3 should work fine, you'll just have to adjust the tension (the 2 screws holding the claw to the body). If you try to tune to standard with that heavy guage, you'll probably need to add a spring and tighten the truss rod, and still may have problems if it's an Ibanez, not sure their thin necks will like that much tension, but you should be fine tuned down to B or A.

3 is all ya need, had 11's on a UV with 3 springs, and my old Purple Jem had 12's on drop D for a time, Just screw the claw in, if you need to add an extra spring, your springs are worn, just get some new ones
