How? removing a stuck on scratchplate from an acoustic...

Hi guys,

I was wondering if there was any safe way of removing a scratch plate from an acoustic guitar?

I just recently bought one (http://www.jemsite.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=23764) and it came with the stupid thing stuck on. I would've atleast liked to have had the option to stick it on or not....

That is very difficult to do on your own. I would ask a VERY good luthier to look at it. Removing it will probably damage the finish of the top however.
