Hum when using both outputs on S-2020XAV

When I plug into both outs, I get ridiculously loud hum coming through the amp(s). Is there a shielding problem? Can a tech fix it for a reasonable amount? Anyone experience a similar problem with the double edge models?

Thanks.

I've not had any humming from my CST.
Check your cables (and their connections), and to make sure that your amp is grounded properly.
If that doesn't help, check to make sure there are no loose connections in your output jack cavity.

BTW- Glen's a real stickler about "Location". You might want to adjust yours to a real city/state/country. He's really into banning these days. Just a helpful hint.

That sounds like a ground loop problem. I sometimes had the same problem when plugging my Parker into an amp and PA simultaneously, especially when going out of the XLR output on my direct box into the board. For some reason, the regular 1/4" output didn't have that problem.

It helps to have all of your gear plugged into the same outlet. If any of your gear uses two-prong electrical plugs, try reversing the plugs in the outlets to switch polarity.

Try everything Kevan suggested, too.

Thanks, guys. I know it's not the cables. I'll check into the ground loop.
