I cant bend on the 20th fret

Well, my guitar went to get a setup.
Its great, I love the way it plays now, got a new jack, elixir strings, etc...

But, I dont know if I had this problem before the setup, but I cant bend on the 20th fret on the low e String...
I can make it bend and Sound on the ..., 19Th, 21st, 22nd, ...
but not the 20th!

What could be wrong here?

you ....LOL

You can't bend only 1 note in your guitar and you're complaining ?
FGS sand that fret down.
Or leave this way,why do you need so much to bend that note?
Bend it in another string.
Oh god LOL

Ok, I'll take your post a little more seriously than the previous poster.

First, when you refer to the "low" E do you mean the thickest string on the guitar? I just want to be clear on this.

Second, when you say "you can't bend" do you mean when you bend that note and it "chokes" or frets out? If so, it sounds like the 21st fret is a little too tall and that fret and the few beyond it may need a little more attention/filing.

You're fretting out. You should take it back to whoever did the setup and have them adjust it. Could need a truss rod adjustment or raise the bridge slightly on that side. Either way, if you paid for a set up, you should take it back and have it adjusted.

Well, it was a 1hour and 30 minutes car ride, and I contacted him, and he said to raise the action a little bit.
but this problem does not concern me anymore.

Edit:
Raised the action a little bit!

Sustain increased
but now tappings are a bit harder to do...
I guess I have to find the right ratio

Seriously. 6Fingers, from the way you've been acting I'd guess you've got another day or two left on this forum before someone bans you. Try and show a little respect to this community.

I have the same problem on some guitars - It's a pain for me to find the sweet spot between stupid low action and buzzing!

I'm having the same issue on one of my Godin guitars. I want to have it checked by a good tech regarding this and will let ya know how it turns out.

How could the person who did the setup give the guitar back to you in this condition?
