I need help ?

I know maybe this question was answered in other threads but my quick search didnt do any good so I'll tell you the problem

When I dive with my new Jem77VBK the G string goes flat most of the times ... making all other strings sharp a bit.

I have changed the strings on it ( yes I stretch them properly ) and I have tightened all the screws of the locking nut and of the neck.

I haven't seen any apparent trouble with the Edge pro...

What could it be

is the saddle for the G-string (hehehe) properly intonated? as a matter of fact, is everything else intonated?

Re: I need help ?

U mean the set screw that can make the saddle go back and forth ? Can it affect the tuning stability ? well I'll check it ...

Well right now as I speak the Intonation is from the Factory and the G-string saddle is completely towards the pick up, the others are in the middle and the Low E saddle sits completely at the back ... Wierd configuration ?

if the saddle is not intonated for that specific string, it can become unstable when doing dives. actually, if the saddles themselves are not intonated for the set of strings, it can have some effect to stability but it's a minor problem that can solved with an allen wrench and a damn good tuner

not at all... but that sounds about right: thicker gauge = further away from the pickup; that's only for the Low E string.

Re: I need help ?

I use 9-42 EXL120 D'addario and I'm checking this stuff on IbanezRules... seems like when the open G is in perfect tune at the 24th fret its like 20 cents sharp... so I should move it back a bit I think ..

yep... i usually intonate from the open note and 12th fret but the concept is the same: if it's sharp, move it back... if it's flat, move it forward... don't overtighten and minor adjustment is key. Make sure you retune and double check the bridge angle in case it drops or raises after the string is intonated.
