Ibanez Lo Pro Edge - Is the base plate replaceable ?
The base of my Lo
Pro Edge
has broken around the knife edge and I need to find out if a part can be ordered to replace the tremolo base.
I've searched the archives and looked at all the schematics online I could find for an answer and it seems to be a recognised part, but I can't find out if it's a replaceable part.
I asked the new local
Ibanez dealer
here about a replacement and they wont know until they can get a hold of the Australian distributor. Since it's a new store I'm not holding my breath for an answer.
Any ideas ?
Thanks for reading,
Tony

provided they're in stock, you can typically order the tremolo base from an ibanez dealer... glen

I'm lucky I can type "American" so you guys can understand what I'm talking about.
Grid Iron rules are very odd to Australians, but having been a fan for a while, and even playing the game it's not hard to understand. What is hard to understand is how awful Ibanez is at distributing parts to dealers. I guess they think all their parts are indestructible and will never fail under any circumstances.
Jester, your right I've had the worst luck with this Radius, but in the end I'll have a pretty much new guitar thanks to your neck and all the other bits and piece that will be put on it. Some lessons are harder to learn than others is all I can say, but I consider myself taught now !
Spiro I'll email you about that 2nd hand one !

Take a step backwards there and blame your distributor not Ibanez. If your distributor planed to stock that part they would have it, because they would have ordered it. We're no better here in the States as neither of our distributors normally have any in stock.

Good point there Rich. I was assuming the reason behind the shortage of base plates was because Ibanez was failing to deliver them, not that they were able to and just didn't get any orders.
*bows head*
I formally apologise to the workers, families and friends of Ibanez Corporation forthwith and hereby retract all aforementioned slanderous statements against said corporation.
