Ibanez Original Edge Tremolo Question

I have a 1990 original edge tremolo. I'm interested in buy a 2000
edge tremolo. does anyone know if the parts from the 1990 will
fit on the 2000 edge. Are they compatible? Thanks.

They should be identical.

yeah, as far as i know, the 2 trems should be 100% identical. just make sure it's not a lo pro or edge pro or something (not that an edge pro should be from 2000...).

Why do you want a 2000 model edge? Unless your original is worn out in some way, the performance should be identical.


A lo Pro edge I could understand the reason for swapping. (FYI, lo pro parts aren't the same as edge parts)

I just want to thank everyone for responding so quickly. And yes, my original is damaged.
That is why I'm buying the 2000 model. I wanted to use all of the good parts from
the 1990 model.
