Ibanez Set Ups in NYC

Can anyone recommend any good guitar techs to set up Ibanez guitars in Manhattan? I had Manny's set up my 2004 7VWH, but I feel it could have been done better. I don't want to leave NYC or ship the guitar anywhere to do it either. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Russ

Re: Ibanez Set Ups in NYC

you could use Rob Balducci's guy - he's in Jackson Heights, I believe.

His name is Sal Tine. he also works for Jay Turser guitars - they do decent knockoffs of the big popular brands.

I've used him a ocuple of times and he does good work and he's very quick too.

I'll PM you his cell #

Re: Ibanez Set Ups in NYC

My guy in Manhattan, Norio Imai, was head setup guy at Sadowsky for 11 years before opening his own place, and he's the best in the city. If you want your setup done by the guy who does them for John Scofield, GE Smith, and a host of others, he's your man. He does the best work I've seen or felt in my 30+ years of playing. He does everything too, not just setups, and he's a fantastic guy. He's on 22nd St. For the life of me I can't find his card...I'll PM or post you his number later today.

Paul Unker in Toms River ,NJ is a pretty talented guy...he also used to work for Sadowski as well as the original Kramer factory and BC Rich. His shop is called The Guitar Guy and he only charges $38 for a setup

38 bucks?! Really?! Norio is 75, and that's cheap. What's his number?
