Ibanez ZR trem problems - strings go flat.

Hi

I have an Ibanez S670FM with the ZR trem.
There seems to be a problem with the trem as I can have it perfectly in tune, play for a few minutes then it will be ever so slightly flat on all strings. But yanking up on the trem a couple of times will set all the strings perfectly back in tune again. Then the process repeats.
I think I have the spring tension set right, as the trem is flat against the body, the stop rod is as far into the nook as it will go and the trem block is touching the stop rod too.
Is there anything else I can do to sort this out?
Many thanks.

Seems all of us missed this one. While I have never played a ZR this stuff should work for it.

List of things to check.

Make sure your locking nut is tight. Don't over tighten but snug them.

Make sure your bridge is setting parallel with the body

Old strings cause all kinds of issues.

Follow the setup guide for the ZR trem.

Like I said I have not played or even held a ZR trem guitar but those are typical things that can cause trem issues.

Hi
Locking nut is tight.

The bridge is parallel to the body or as close as I can get it. I just can't seem to find the spot where everything will stay in tune. I've tried slackening the springs right down, tightening the springs right up. Is there a precise sweet spot I should be looking for?

The strings are relatively new .010's.

I'm following the ZR trem setup guide from Ibanez.

Recently I put it in for a setup. The guy changed the strings from .009's to .010's but the bridge came back floating at about a 20 degree angle and it's never been right since.

If you payed for a setup and it wasn't right take it back and make them fix it. Tell them it hasn't been right since you got it back. Tell them what is going on but leave out the part where you messed with it. You payed for a good setup and didn't get one.

If you have the ZPS bar in, the bridge is "parallel" to the body when the sustain block is is just touching the bar.

And did you stretch your strings?
