Installing a cliplock
I just recieved a brand new 1991 Pink Cliplock straight from Dimarzio. But now comes installing it, neither of the screws that come with it are right, The black ones are too big and the chrome ones are too small. I thought I had read somewhere that the old ones had better scres or something? What would be a good way to install this, I don'r want to wreck my UV777BK

You're wrecking your UV by putting pink strap on it....LOL
You can either take the brass inserts out of the strap and put the UV screw back in OR you can use the smaller screws and stick a broken toothpick in the hole in the guitar before you put the screw in.
Your choice.

Is there a third option? could I get a different screw that works with the washer and the screw hole?

I took out the brass washers and used the original screws. I think it works better this way anyway. Check out the cliplock and new NOS pink
Ibanez knobs
, both just installed tonight.

That one looks cool too! I'm thinking of getting a pink mirror guard from pickguardparadise.com

Yep. My favorite non-stock UV.

I have come to the conclusion that the pink Cliplock and pink NOS Ibanez knobs do not look good on the UV777BK. I have gone back to stock hardware which looks the best anyway. And I will probably be posting the cliplock and knobs for sale, if anyone is interested.

I put a new
clip lock strap
on my Ibanez EDC700 and the screws fell out because they were to small. Not sure if you can get this in america but get hold of some No Nails glue, it sticks anything togeather.
