Installing a Hardtail bridge on floyd guitar?

I got a sticky problem, I was going to string my floyd rose guitar with some 13's, but found out that the posts were so rusted, that they could not be set up for even string height, so I want to install a hardtail conversion bridge on the guitar, heres some pics

you'll probably want to change the nut too, you can get these ebanol floyd nut replacments that seem ok(i havn't tried one yet) just look up ebanol nuts and you should find them

here's some links that may be of some interest..

If you want a hardtail, fine, but if you are doing this because of the rusted posts, just get some new posts... !?

Re: Installing a Hardtail bridge on floyd guitar?

No, never mind, I am never trusting the tech I take my guitar too, he said the posts were rusted and needed re-drilling so that I could have my floyd be set up for 13 gauge strings, so he said he dind't do that, so he gave it back...so I went home, looked stuff up on the net, and spent 3 hours making it work, I finally got it to work, despite claims that it wasent possible, I got my guitar in tune with 13's and have the floyd usable...
