Internal Foil Shielded Cable.

I use RG174 coaxial foil shielded cable for internal wiring in my guitars. It is a great physical size but when I solder it I tend to find that the insulation tends to melt all too easily. This isn’t down to my bad soldering technique by the way !!! I just find this particular cable doesn’t take heat at all well and it is difficult to make a neat job of things.

I was hoping someone here who does a lot of this could perhaps suggest a brand and model of cable for this purpose please ? Ideally foil shielded.

I am also interested in 4 core conductor cable (for series parallel wiring) foil shielded and easy to solder. Ideally a small physical size for working inside a guitar.

I have been recommended Beldon 9594 (4 core) but as I can only get it in 100m reels I cannot try it to see if it solders well.

Any suggestions ?

Thank you.
