Re: intonation tools
There is no
intonation tool
for the Edge Pro. See IbanezRules for the others. Maybe Rich has some.

Re: intonation tools
I noticed in
Dan Erlewine
's book "How to Make Your Guitar Play Better", he successfully used a regular "The Key" intonating tool on an Ibanez Edge.

Re: intonation tools
There are 3 versions, one is for the OFR, the other 2 are both for Ibanez trems, one for the EDGE, one for the Lo Pro. He was obviosuly using the EDGE version, no longer available, neither is the OFR, only the Lo Pro is available.

Re: intonation tools
I thought only Ibanez produced an intonating tool for the Edge and LoPro. I thought "The Key" was made by
Floyd Rose
.

Re: intonation tools
Is there any place where one might procure an Ibanez
Edge intonation tool
?
With the new 550 reissues, do you think we might see it again?

Re: intonation tools
The Key tools were made by GTG - Guitar Technical Group.
You will not find an Edge tool to buy unless a private party sells one. Most of the Edge tools are useless except to use as a lever, they won't stay in place and usually slam down on the guitar top when you loosen the lockdown screw.

So which one did you use on your tech setup guides?

So the only efficient way of setting up an Edge's intonation is the hard way?

I got a "Key" for FR trems from Allparts part no LT-0868-000 listed in Tools/Miscellaneous Tools. Out of stock in the UK at £17.10 but looks like it is available in the US at $25.00. I used it on an Edge that I have with success. For the Lo Pro I got that from Rich. However I cannot say that the "Key" would be suitable for an Edge Pro as I do not have one. Hope that this might help some of you.
