Is a guitar supposed to stay in tune when....

...doing Satriani style "Lizard down the throath"? I mean, sliding up the g-string while pressing down the whammy bar thus keeping the same pitch?

I mean, I've dealt with floating trem bars for 12 years now and no matter how well the guitar stays in tune, this trick is the feared one that ALWAYS puts the string out of tune. No matter how you abuse the trem otherwise.

Anyone else with the same problem or is it just me and my lack of knowledge? It's a cool-sounding trick but ain't so fun when I always go out of tune.

And yes, I stretch the strings a LOT when restringing and everything seems ok with the bridges. Happens with all my guitars (Lo-Pro or normal Edge)..

Weird...I use that trick all the time, and not once has it caused me (inherently) to go out of tune. Loose saddle on G string perhaps?

Actually it starts working now. I had some time REALLY abusing the strings. Did some fine tunings and now it seems to stay in tune, no matter what I do.
