Is this right?
Im no rocket scientist but I think that this shop in town screwed me over when i payed them to block my trem and set up my guitar. Shouldnt the trem be level with the body? What are your suggestions. The reason I blocked the trem was because I did not have lock nuts and I do alot of drop tuning. Since i have a couple different guitars now, i was thinking of unblocking the trem and setting this up for standard. I have Earnie Ball Skinny top heavy bottoms on it right now.

Re: Is this right?
Yup, I would expect the string locking bolts to be approximately parallel with the body surface, but if it's been blocked it doesn't really matter so much as long as the angle doesn't affect the string radius or intonation and the action is how you like it!

Eh, having the bridge at the angle is putting unnecessary stress on the bridge and studs. The bridge should be parallel to the body. The shop took at the quick way out and just shoved a block in there that sort of fit.

Re: Is this right?
The knife edges should be parallel not the bridge. Read the tech section at
www.ibanezrules.com
And WTF is that under the locking screw? Is that how the blocked the trem?
