JB Weld it and then some - Anyone use jbweld to fix trem pro

Hey guys. *Just got my new r520qs and Im in love. *the action is so smooth. *I decided I was gonna try and match the setup on my old korean rg to match the 520. *In the process of lowering the bridge the trem post snapped in half leaving me with a dilemma. *Upon further inspection I found that nasty ovaling had developed in the basswood around the trem. *So Ive spent the last week or so brainstorming trying to come up with something. *Really early today I mixed up some jb weld, and decided I was gonna be hardcore, and replaced my old post with brand new ones, made by schaller, and then filled the trem stud holes with jb weld. *Also let the threads get some in there so the post wouldnt wobble. *After it dried I sat it up and bing. * *Its beautiful, the guitar sounds a THOUSAND times better, plays better stays in tune better (just to add I sharpened my original floyd post up for the first time with a chainsaw file LOL) *The post dont wobble and now I honestly beleive they are a thousand times stronger than when brand new. *Thanks for all your help on setups and everything. *Your tech section has just made my day. *Cheers guys the drinks are on me :>

Not sure if you know, but there is a locking stud inside of the tremolo post that should be loosened prior to adjusting bridge height.(why they give you that real small allen wrench).Glad you got it fixed.I really like my 520's also.

Im aware of the locking post inside. *The one I set up was my old korean rg that originally had a trs trem and no locking post. *So i replaced the post with schallers, jb weld, and original floyd rose. *:>

Better late than never but I always use JB Waterweld to fill the holes whenever I replace the strap holders on my guitars. Works great but not alot of time to work with it so you have to be quick and keep it clean. I always keep a 100% cotton tshirt nearby so I can wipe of the smudgemarks from my fingers. That or cover the body with the tshirt while you work, but the stuff works great I've never had a problem with my strap holders after I've used it
