JEM Build

I'm gonna build a guitar for my Senior Project, and I'm looking for a JEM style body, i found one on ****, but it's in the UK and shipping will be a lot. I found a JEM body that is in Maryland, and that should be good. The seller's price is $190, i was wondering if that is a pretty good price, it's made out of Basswood. I plan to put : An Orginal Floyd Rose, 24 fret neck with a locking nut, and EMGs. I wanted to have something with EMGs ,and i don't need to worry about volume/ tone pots and input jacks. I was originally gonna go for a 59/JB combo but I would still need to buy the pots and input jacks. I'm not worried about the single coil, I'll be able to get one,and I can buy a 5-selector from Carvin.

Any advice i will take into consideration, thank you Jemsite Users!

Re: JEM Build

Doesn't look too bad...... but about that link, you're not supposed to link to any auctions or auction sites here. It violates the rules. You might want to consider some others though. Check some of the places up top in the vendor banners. Those guys have a good reputation for taking care of Jemsiters. Good luck and welcome to Jemsite!

Re: JEM Build

Try Sim's or Legacy..... I haven't personally used either one, but they both post pic's of their work on here and it looks ok. That Evilbay body doesn't look bad either. Do a search on the web as there are quite a few luthiers who make them.

Re: JEM Build

You could post a WTB in the "Buy, Sale, Trade" area of the forum. Be sure to be spacific (wood type, front rout, rear rout, etc.) and post a price range too!
