Jem/Js necks: quartersawn?

Does anyone know if the necks used on Jems and Js's are quartersawn or flatsawn??

I would imagine the necks on Js's are quartersawn.....since the headstock is straight.
I just checked the grain on my Js1000....and it appears to be quartersawn (grain is vertical or up and down)

The figure in that picture pretty much explains everything.

When I think about it, my telecaster neck must be made from the whole tree because it's got the same neck profile as the tree slice in the picture :P
