Re: Jem volume pot replacement question
Probably not a DIRECT replacement for two reasons - the CTS pot, being US has a slightly larger diameter shaft (and thread), so you may have to very slightly enlarge the hole that the pot passes through in the scratchplate (not difficult at all). Second, and slightly more problematic, is that the shaft that the volume knob sits on is also slightly larger diameter than the original Ibanez pot - which means that you will most likely have to replace the volume knob with a US knob, or, drill out the original knob very slightly and possibly use a little bit of paper and glue as a wedge to hold it on, as you will have lost the fluting on the inside of the volume knob that normally holds it on the shaft.
All easy stuff, but, no, most likely not a drop in job. Does that all make sense?
Cheers,
David
