I just ordered an ibanez Jem7VWH. It should i arrive today, before i change the action and fix any problems should i let the guitar settle awhile. Does the guitar need to get used to the new environment , about how long before i can make adjustments????

Thanks

Agreed. However, I like to really play mine a bit the way they are from the factory to have a reference before anything gets done to it. I also do a lot of whammy-bar non-sense to break in the springs some. Definitely have a professional tech do it.
