Just bought 540PII Ibanez. Need the Jemsite members' advice:

Very rare 24-fret 540PII. I want to be extra careful with this guitar. So I need some advice.

1. It needs a paint job. Who can I trust to do a great job?
2. Can the Edge tremelo be replaced with the Lo Pro Edge in the 7VWH Jem?

1) Jeremy at LGM Guitars (www.lgmguitars.com)... None better!
2) Lo-pro's and the original Edge have the same size in regards to the cavities, so yes, you can interchange them.

congrats on the 540pII; i'd love to pick one of those up if i could find one too!

Yeah, I have always wanted a P-II. Someone I know has one for sale. It is the black one with the silver pickguard that was dubbed the "Skolnick" model. It is absolutely gorgeous, but he wants like £700. No wonder he aint sold it yet!

I have a custom made 7 string version just receiving last coats of paint standby for picks, the 540pII is a great model.

But don't put the Lo-Pro Edge... keep the Edge. Keeps the "beast" original!
