Knob problems....

....Not the kind you think. The locking nut just underneath my volume knob has loosened. How do I get the knob off without tearing it up? I thought there would be a set screw or something to loosen but there's not. I don't want to just pry it off (afraid I'll break it). How does it come off?

That's about it, just be gentle, and rock a flathead screwdriver back and forth. Get it deep in there so it's against the nut, not the guitar surface. There are other ways, and tools, too. If you do a search, there's lots of guys who posted good ways to do it. Check them out if you don't want to just go for it.
