Lemon Oil.

Well, I wasn't careful when I was cleaning my guitar before keeping it, and the case lid slammed onto the side of my guitar, and there was the first of many potential battle scars. I wasn't too concerned, as they add character.

I applied lemon oil on the ding hopefully to darken and protect it and I was just wondering if anything unfortunate would come of this.

i've never used that stuff but i always see people talking about it using it for cleaning fretboards and stuff so you're most likely fine.

Nope, it was on the side of the guitar.
