Little click from Lo-pro arm...
It's some days since my
trem arm
makes a strange sound, like a click-clack when pushing or pulling on it...does anyone know what caused it and how to fix it? I never did anything strange with my trem so...

Re: Little click from Lo-pro arm...
Are you sure it's not the neck making the noise? I had a similar thing and it was that the neck pocket was too tight. The noise can happen if the neck is not screwed on tight enough too.

Re: Little click from Lo-pro arm...
Does the noise also occur when you're simply rotating the trem arm (without using the trem)?
If that's the case, it could be the noise from the little spring thingy in the
arm holder
thats rubbing against the trem arm while the arm itself is being turned. That's the only 'click-clack' sound I can think of right now.

me too, to me i think its the black varnish on the arm, i think there is too much because it is wearing off where the black is in the trem slot

Re: Little click from Lo-pro arm...
It's a fairly easy fix, and the best guide I've seen can be found on
Magnus Olsson
's
site
, sections 15-17. Of course, that's assuming the problem is a squeak when rotating the arm.

Re: Little click from Lo-pro arm...
Thanks for the advices...I looked better and the click appears only when pulling back the arm...moveing manually the trem doesn't make any sound. Could it be the spring that holds the arm?
