Hoshino United States of America - no Ibanez in that business name. Ibanez is just a brand name that belongs to the Hoshino Gaki Group.

5 years, from the time it hits the shelf [which usually means a few more to double the years until it's BAD, and manufaturer/paint type dependant]. Everything breaks down sooner or later.

Oh ok, well I just said Ibanez not Hoshino United States of America, but when I was talking to him about the neon green on a guitar that was put on them from the factor I'm sure he would have put two and two together and said something about HUSA if he had done some business witha guitar company that used his neon greens.

He's a company Pres., he's pretty far removed from the daily grind and is more concerned with his job of running the business. Then again, we're talking 20 years ago, he could have been the stock boy then

He started the company in 1956, and seems to be very involved with it stull, but like you said, it was 20 years ago, he maybe could have forgot, but when it comes to painting he seems to be very sharp and spoke of conversations and stuff he had with people using is products things that were in the 60's and 70's. I'd say you can pretty much just take what JD told you to the bank, they probably only bought HOK to do replacements and restorations, but never in large quantities.

I don't doubt he would have sent a sample and had them match it to acceptible, but I didn't ask the further particulars. Some things should be left to the imagination because it makes no difference here or there these dayz

BTW I remember mom always had Dayglo paints around. She was a grade school art teacher and they used to market to schools lot.

If you haven't checked they already make some simi sorta close colors as is.

Hmm....thanks for the link. Jon said he bought their pigments from Dayglo....and I said Deglo? And I spelled it, D-e-g-l-o? And he said no, Dayglo, D-a-y-g-l-o.
