Lo Pro Edge removing intonation screw

On my Universe I am unable to remove one of the intonation screws because the groove for the allen key is worn - I am unable to get any grip with an allen key. Can anyone advise of a way to get this screw out so I can replace it without causing damage to the bridge?
Any help much appreciated! Cheers, Roger Davis

first try a new allen wrench.

next, you can use a dremel and a cutting wheel to make a slot for a screwdriver. alternately, if the saddle is close to the bolt, you use some wd40 on the area and then tap the saddle out from under the bolt with a punch, then remove the saddle nut with your fingers... glen

A small screw extractor might also do the trick.

lol... good old powertools.

i'd highly recommend removing the bridge from the body if you're doing it with a drill. alot of room for error and slippage there. ...glen

ps - did you ever try tapping the saddle out rich?

If the head is rounded it's trash, why bother chancing cracking the saddle when it literally takes 20 seconds to free it?

Now don't run with scissors or chew on razor blades either!
