Hi all
first time post. I have a lo-pro
edge on an RG550 that has some rust (appears to be surface) due to wear on top of the saddles. Its a smoked chrome (is that what its called) finish. The saddles are nice on the sides but the tops are all inconsistant with wear and make it look a little shabby. What can i do to make it shine again. Im worried about sanding the finish off to metal as wont this cause more rust?? im not worried about the original smoked chrome look .. just wanted to make it look more presentable. sand then paint? maybe.. it does have a bit of pitting coming through some of the saddles .. is pitting the rust coming through?
Saying that i have a black original edge thats in shocking cosmetic condition.. i was thinking of getting the dremel tool out and stripping it and maybe painting? .. i dont mind the time and effort as long as it doesnt cost me so to speak.. or is this a throw away and easier to buy a new trem ..
thoughts?
