locking nut for flatter radius?

I wonder if anyone solved the problem of having a rather flat neck (radius 19-20") and locking nut to go with it. I have a original floyd rose locking nut, I believe its R2, 1-5/8" wide (41.3mm) with 10" radius. I spent a lot of time adjusting bridge heights, so that I have balanced string height around 12th fret. Since its a flat neck, obviously I cant get this at first frets with this kind of locking nut. And I see that floyd rose has a locking nut with 15" radius which would be almost perfect for me, but than again its too wide.
So, if anyone has an idea how to deal with this, other than my idea, please help!

Thanx

Marin

Stew Mac has one that they list as 14" radius. I wonder if it's a typo.

Re: locking nut for flatter radius?

Interesting, these are also floyd rose original parts, R2 and R4 locking nuts,
at StewMac listed as 14" radius, while these are 10" at floydrose homepage.
I'll have to measure again mine, but one way or the other, mine is way rounder than neck of my guitar which is 20".

Isn't the Vigier Shawn Lane fitted with a locking nut? That's a no radius fretboard. Completely flat. Just a thought.

Yeah some of vigier's models have a zero radius fretboard. I wonder if it would be possible to get it from them, provided you are ready to foot the dough for it.

Re: locking nut for flatter radius?

but Vigiers have the zero fret which determines the radius, eliminating the effect of the nut.

if anyone was still wondering about the nuts on the stew mac site it does say at the bottom of the page
"These parts are Floyd Rose "licensed" parts."
