Re: locking nut lock bolt

Take the other locks off and grab the head of the stripped bolt with a pair of pliers and unscrew it. Then buy a new bolt.

Re: locking nut lock bolt

It 's impossible to grab the head of the screw because it 's in the hole wood in the back of the neck.

This is one of the two screw that lock the entire floyd nut on the back of the neck . It 's a rear mount nut , and I round off the Allen hole of one of these screw.

OK, try lightly taping a 7/64 allen wrench into the head while supporting the string side of the nut on something that wouldn't damage it, like a magazine on a table. If that doesn't work get an easy-out screw extractor that fits in the head. Be careful, it's easy to cause more harm than good. If you don't feel comfortable doing this take it to a pro.

Drill the head off of it and replace the bolt.

Re: locking nut lock bolt

Rich , if I understand correctly the procedure is the same as your "rounded intonation screw" in your tech section.

Moonlight , I m gonna take it to a pro (one of my friend is luthier) the question was only for my knowing. (I can't ask my friend because he is in holidays)

big thanks for your responses.

Re: locking nut lock bolt

I've never had to drill a screw out of a guitar but have done that on a lot of other stuff. A left hand or reverse drill works good because it usually will grab on to the screw and unscrew it before the head is drilled off. Just make it a little easier sometimes.
