locking nuts

Is there a vast difference between the orignal ibanez locking nuts and the cheaper copy ones. asking as I have decided to just bite the bullet and buy an Edge trem rather than a cheapo floyd rose copy so could do to save some money.

also I had a look on some of the links at the top but does anyone know where to find a trem arm for an Edge think its the same as a Lo-Pro

i think the main difference is the width. ibanez nuts are always 43mm and always have been on RG's (i think...).

for the trem arm, buy on on the bay or ibanezrules.com.

also is there any advantages of having a nut which doesnt bolt right through the neck

yes. ibanez changed to top mounted nuts and added a "volute" to the back of the nut where the nuts would usually go to reduce stress on that area i think.

i'm not sure if the new edge pro's are still rear mounted through the volute, but all the edge zero ones are top mounted and nothing goes through the neck.

does anybody know where you can purchase parts like the trem arm in the UK? last time I ordered anything from america I got charged alot for import or whatever.
